Best Winter Sleep Wear for Babe

October 5, 2017

Parents prep. Life with little ones can be a bit hectic so we plan for things in efforts to control the chaos. In July, we went out and bought our older kiddos new clothes in preparation for a new school year. Now entering October, we’re looking at coats and boots for our growing minis to ward off the upcoming cold. But what about sleep wear for winter?

Sleep bags are the very best sleep wear for the babes. These sacks are the safest option when it comes to keeping little toes warm and comfy in the crib. Here at Kyte BABY, we make sleep bags from all-natural bamboo that are incredibly soft to the touch. I know your little one adores their lovie, but these “wearable blankets” are replacing the crib blanket entirely. With a double zipper down the side, midnight diaper changes have never been easier.

Let’s talk TOG. Tog the rating system that measures warmth and calculates how quickly a fabric uses heat. It is the standard when choosing the appropriate sleeping bag for your baby depending on the ambient temperature in their nursery. With dropping temperatures, we recommend the 2.5 tog sleep bag for winter.

2.5 TOG: 16 – 20 °C / 61 – 68 °F

This particular tog is nice and thick keeping minis warm and toasty, but the bamboo material is so breathable that they won’t overheat. It is the perfect solution for a hot natured toddler as well as babies with skin sensitivities.

It’s time to put away the 0.5 tog and make room for the 2.5 tog! Haven’t stocked up? No problem, we have what you need to keep your little ones safe and sleepy. Check out our entire collection of 2.5 tog Sleep Bags that come in adorable animal prints and modern colors.
