Summer heat is in full force, but with the promise of fall lurking around the corner, we’re ready for pumpkin spice and everything nice. Fall is one of the most sensory-rich seasons, which is why it’s tied to some of our best memories. Late September brings a shift in the mood, air, and scenery as we ready ourselves for cinnamon-scented kitchens, the crunching of leaves under our boots, and a slight chill when night falls. Best of all is the transformation outside when the world is briefly blanketed in fiery orange and red hues. Inspired by all these changes that come with the new season, we are proud to unveil our 2024 fall solids: Loch, Thyme, Currant, Apple Blossom, and Apricot.
With so many things to do and see in these few months before winter, fall is undoubtedly one of the best seasons for families. For many, visiting an orchard is at the top of the to-do list. Apple picking is an outdoor activity that lets your little ones connect with nature and learn where their food comes from. Not only is it fun for the whole family, it’s great bonding time, a must-do annual tradition, and the very inspiration behind our entire fall collection.
The theme of our fall solids and fall prints is orchards. Our solids are a reflection of all the colors around the fall harvest, and our fall prints (Apple Orchard, Tractor, Orange, and Football) were all designed with the idea of families spending time together outdoors in orchards, farmers markets, and the woods. With our fall solids launching in August, we compared each of them to some similar colors we’ve had in the past for a side-by-side look. Since color accuracy is notoriously hard to achieve with a camera, this color comparison should give you a better idea of how our new solids look until you can see them for yourself in person.
Meet Loch, a deep teal that is inspired by lake waters at dusk.
- Compared to Teal, Loch is darker and moodier.
- Compared to Baltic, Loch has more of a green hue.
- Compared to Emerald, Loch has more blue but is similarly toned.
- Compared to Cove, Loch is much darker but is a similar hue.
Meet Thyme, a dusty sage green that is the very color of the dried herb for which it is named.
- Compared to Sage, Thyme is more green and muted.
- Compared to Moss, Thyme is more green and less muted.
- Compared to Matcha, Thyme is less vibrant and more muted.
- Compared to Pine, Thyme is far lighter and has more yellow in it.
Meet Currant, a dark, muted mauve that looks like the deep shades of blackcurrant juice.
- Compared to Orchid, Currant is deeper with a redder hue.
- Compared to Wisteria, Currant is a much deeper purple and less washed out.
- Compared to Mulberry, Currant is darker and more purple.
- Compared to Cocoa, Currant is similar in hue but a lighter shade.
- Compared to Mushroom, Currant is more vibrant and much darker.
Meet Apple Blossom, a muted rose pink that is inspired by the lovely florals of an apple tree.
- Compared to Dusty Rose, Apple Blossom is pinker and more vibrant.
- Compared to Crepe, Apple Blossom is darker and a little dustier.
- Compared to Sangria, Apple Blossom is more muted with more yellow in it.
- Compared to Blossom, Apple Blossom is a little more muted and warmer toned.
- Compared to Bubblegum, Apple Blossom is darker, warmer-toned, and a little more muted.
Meet Apricot, a raw sienna that matches the warm hues of fall foliage and harvest.
- Compared to Sienna, Apricot is lighter in shade and has more beige in it.
- Compared to Spice, Apricot is much lighter, but similar in tone.
- Compared to Terracotta, Apricot has much more yellow in it.
- Compared to Clementine, Apricot is much lighter and has more yellow in it.
- Compared to Rust, Apricot is far lighter but similar in hue.
