Cucumber
Start in the kitchen. Do you have fresh cucumber in your veggie drawer? Cucumber can be used as a pain reliever and an organic alternative to those silicone teething toys. Peel the cucumber and cut it into thick slices. Scoop out the middles, making the slices into rings. These your baby can chew on to their heart’s content, and you never have to worry about them ingesting harmful chemicals.
Ginger
Peeled ginger root can serve as an anti-inflammatory. When your child is suffering from red, inflamed gums due to teething, rub a thin slice of peeled ginger on their gums for a few minutes. This should calm nerve endings and provide them with some pain relief.
Bamboo Washcloth
Most babies just want something to chew on when they are teething. As an alternative to cucumber rings, try freezing a damp Kyte BABY washcloth.
