Every month, we give back to our community by donating to a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) nominated by you! Our Nominate-a-NICU initiative has allowed us to support NICUs all over the country–something we’re excited to continue into the new year. We asked you all to send in nominations and share your stories, and that’s how we got to know the premier provider of care for high-risk newborns in South Carolina. Meet our January NICU: MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital.

Words From the Kyte Community
“The healthcare team did an amazing job at making us first-time parents feel safe and comfortable. Even at max capacity, each of our nurses spent much-needed quality time with our baby. The flood of emotions in the NICU can be overwhelming and exhausting, but the staff made sure we were also taking care of ourselves. We are so blessed to have been cared for by this team of wonderful humans.”
-Peyton M.
“They took amazing care of my son, who was born at 36 weeks. All of the NICU staff were wonderful, but the nurses went above and beyond to make sure my son thrived, and that my husband and I were well-informed about his care. Every NICU nurse and neonatologist explained everything in great detail, keeping my husband and I optimistic and confident. My son is now thriving, and we wouldn’t be here without them!”
-Jennifer A.
“They provided amazing care for my 33-week-old preemie and also me during our 2-week stay! They made sure to include me in everything regarding his care and that I was comfortable every step of the way. They showed the most compassion I have ever seen in nurses.”
-Anistasia A.
“I choose MUSC because they’re the reason my 22-weeker and I are alive! The hospital is fantastic and their NICU team is the best. “
-Taylor J.
