So you and your baby have fallen in love with Kyte Baby—perfect. Now let’s keep those pieces feeling just as soft as the day you got them. We’re here to help with a few simple care tips.

When washing your baby’s clothes, think less is more. You want to use a detergent that doesn’t contain any fragrances, dyes, or other extras that can irritate your baby’s already sensitive skin. You will also want to avoid anything that has optical brighteners. Just a nice, gentle cleaner is all that is needed—please avoid bleach. It’s also important that your detergent doesn’t leave any residues that could affect the feel of the fabric. You can add white vinegar to the wash as a natural fabric softener.

Don’t just throw your Kyte Baby items into the regular wash with your clothes. Give them a little special treatment and wash them separately or with similar fabrics on a gentle cycle with cold water. This will help prevent pilling and maintain the quality of the fabric for longer. Hand washing is another alternative if you have the time. Just be sure to completely rinse all of the soap from the item so it won’t discolor the fabric.

This is the best way to wash your Kyte Baby items:

  • Cold water
  • Gentle cycle
  • Turn off agitator if that is an option (use a mesh bag to prevent items becoming entangled if you can not turn off your agitator)
  • With similar fabrics
  • Layette should be washed inside out, zipped/buttoned up to decrease pilling
  • Sleep bags should NOT be washed inside out, but should be zipped up completely to protect the inner quilting

Kyte Baby does not recommend using the dryer. We recommend hanging or laying flat to dry. Open your sleep bags when drying them and point a fan towards them to help reduce drying time indoors.
