- TOG
Slate is a medium blue-grey with real depth — richer and more grounding than a pale neutral, it brings a quiet sense of structure to the nursery without leaning cold. This sturdy favorite is made from silky-soft rayon made from bamboo, with a breathable, temperature-regulating feel that makes the 1.0 TOG the right weight all year long. Best for rooms between 69–73°F, layer over a short-sleeved onesie on warmer nights, or add a footie pajama when temperatures dip closer to 69°F. A comfortable pick for little ones with delicate skin.
- AAP-compliant safe sleep — a wearable blanket that keeps loose bedding out of the crib for babies under 12 months
- Quilted 1.0 TOG construction — two quilted layers hold just the right warmth without overheating, season after season
- Silky-soft rayon made from bamboo — gentle on delicate skin, with a smooth feel that minimizes friction (Fabric: 97% Rayon made from Bamboo, 3% Spandex | Filling: 100% Polyester)
- OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified — tested and certified to meet rigorous safety standards
- J-shaped double zipper with zipper garage — zips from top or bottom for diaper changes without disturbing sleep; covered pull protects baby's skin
- Hip-healthy design — roomy at the bottom so legs can assume the natural froggy position for healthy hip development
- Sizes XS–XL — fits littles from 7–50 lbs across five sizes, each cut intentionally long so your baby gets maximum wear before sizing up
- Builds a sleep association — consistent use signals bedtime and travels with you
Sizing: Always buy for your baby's current weight and height — a properly fitting sleep bag should be snug at the neck and arms, never loose. See our full size chart.
Care: Machine wash gentle with fragrance-free detergent; lay flat or hang to dry.
What is TOG?
TOG (or Thermal Overall Grade) is a rating system that measures warmth and calculates how quickly a fabric uses heat. It is the standard when choosing the appropriate sleeping bag for your baby, depending on the ambient temperature in your nursery. We recommend a heavier TOG during cooler months and a lighter one during warmer months.

Sleep Bag in Slate 1.0
The Kyte Baby Standard
Never not innovating
We’ve been researching, developing and innovating our sleep bags since 2014. We’ve set the standard for the softest fabric, the most user-friendly zipper design, the most durable stitching, and the safest, most comfortable design on the market—and we’re not stopping there.
We’ve expanded our sleep bags to include four sizes in three different weights, three sizes of sleep bag walkers, and a newborn sleep bag—the first of its kind in the market. Because we believe as long as the needs for safe and comfortable sleep keep changing, our products should, too.

I love the print but was disappointed to see fraying when I opened the bag.

The quality is great but I was very disappointed in the color. I ordered thinking it would be more of a cream/white and it came in a tan/light brown color. I contacted customer service about possibly exchanging or returning (I know it was final sale) but I figured they had for sure sent me the wrong color since all of their other Bisque collection photos were in a cream. There was nothing they offered to do other than the fact that sometimes it can look different.

We have used kyte sleepsacks for the majority of both my children’s lives. I bought the XL hoping to keep my son in sleep bags as long as possible to deter climbing out of the crib. Unfortunately these are sooo long that it makes walking even in a crib difficult. They’re about 6” longer than the large sleepsack.
