5 Fun Fall Activities For Your Baby

For many people, fall is an anticipated time of the year, and it is easy to see why.  With pumpkin spice, colorful leaves, and cooling temperatures, fall is a great time to enjoy the outdoors and spend time with family.  We have a list of 5 fall activities that will make your baby love fall just as much as you do!


Visit a Pumpkin Patch

Visiting a pumpkin patch is wonderful way to experience the fall season with your baby.  Pumpkin patches offer a variety of activities, such as hay mazes, play areas, hay rides, and, of course, selecting your own pumpkin to take home!  The pumpkin patch is an activity that all family members will enjoy.  Your baby will especially love this special family time.  Make sure that you come prepared, with a bag packed with snacks, formula, extra diapers, and comfortable clothing.


Go on a Nature Walk

A nature walk will be an enjoyable sensory experience for your baby.  Your baby can observe the different colored leaves, the fresh fall scents, and scenic surroundings.  A nature walk can also be a very calming and relaxing activity for you and your baby.  Bring a cozy blankets along so that your baby can rest comfortably during the walk.


Enjoy Pumpkin Treats

One activity everybody looks forward to during fall is savoring tasty pumpkin treats!  Your baby can also enjoy pumpkin, as well as the health benefits.  Pumpkins are loaded with vitamin A, which contributes to eye and skin health.  Pumpkins also support the immune system because they are high in vitamin C.  Introduce your baby to the taste of pumpkin by making a pumpkin puree.


Pumpkin Painting

A fall activity that kids of all ages delight in is decorating pumpkins.  Your baby can also participate in this activity by decorating a pumpkin with non-toxic finger paint. Your baby will love the sensory experience of finger painting, and create a masterpiece that you can display on your front porch.  This would make a great first art project!


Visit Your Local Library
